The grounds to Coughton House and Coughton Lodge extend to about 8 acres with 2 acres of formal gardens and a 6 acre paddock to the rear.

The idyllic internal courtyard water garden features a water cascade and fountain with ornamental pool and large goldfish. The water garden terrace with garden furniture, parasols and lighting is particularly lovely in the evening. To the rear of the building is a lawned BBQ area with furniture and a further lawned area with trees and garden.

Water gardenThe outdoor heated swimming pool is set within the courtyard of the original coaching block. The pool area has two undercover rooms in open fronted barns with an open fireplace and grill for BBQ’s. Use of the pool is shared with the owners from 9.30 – 5.00 June – September (weather permitting). The pool area can be hired at additional cost in the evening for BBQ’s, floodlit/moonlight swimming. There is a small outside games room with pool table.

Coughton House has a large partly walled garden with grass tennis court which is open to guests. The garden consists of formal herbaceous borders, fruit trees (guests can help themselves to apples and pears in season) and other colourful flower beds.

Tennis courtA stream meanders along the bottom of the paddock as does one of the many public footpaths in the area (part of The Arden Way). The footpath winds through an idyllic valley to the next village where you can eat or drink at the famous village pub – The Green Dragon. Or you can take a stroll across the paddock and over the bridge over the stream to the pub just 200 yds up the road from The Lodge. There is hard parking for 13 cars.
